The RVators have a flyout on February 1st:
“It looks like the weather this weekend is going to be nice! We have decided to head back to Ukiah for some tacos. I think it will be a great day to fly and the authentic Mexican taco’s are awesome! We plan on meeting on the ramp in Ukiah at 11:30 or in the air on 122.75, we hope to see you there!”
Wednesday, February 5, is the date of our next BOD meeting, held at Pizza Roundup, 2270 Nicolaus Rd., Lincoln.
Meeting time is 18:30 (18:00 for those who wish to get dinner first). As always, general membership is invited…NAY!…encouraged!
This is your chance to witness those backroom deals…
The surreptitious negotiating…
The verbal arm-wrestling…
that it takes to keep this club going!
Hope to see you,
Secretary, EAA 1541

The RVators have a flyout on January 18th:
“This Saturday we are planning to head down to Jackson to Hotel Sutter for lunch. One of our members, Marvin, and his girlfriend Robbie have invited us to the Sutter Hotel for lunch – this is a hotel and restaurant that is owned and run by pilots. We will be meeting on the ramp at 11:30 and Marvin will be picking us up in a van and taking us to the restaurant (that is only a couple of miles away) for lunch. Hope to see you there!!!”
Don’t forget that the first meeting for 2014 is tonight, at Cattlemens in Roseville. Dinner can be served at 6:30, but you are not required to dine, and the meeting will begin as close to 7pm as possible. When you check in, just identify that you are with the EAA Chapter and you will be escorted to the dining / meeting room.
This will be a most informative and important meeting, making plans for the rest of the year and meeting the new Board.
On behalf of The Board, we look forward to seeing all of you…
EAA 1541 Secretary
The RVators have a flyout on January 11th:
“It’s looking like rain this Saturday but if we are able to fly we are headed to Columbia. We will be meeting on the ramp at Columbia at 11:30 and will decide where we will eat at that time. We will be on 122.75 en route if you would like to meet up in the air. If it’s not raining we hope to see you there :-)”
Saturday’s flyout has been cancelled due to the weather.
The chapter meetings for January and February will be held at Cattlemens Restaurant, 2000 Taylor Road, Roseville. As many will recall, last year’s hangar meetings at this time were unbelievably chilly, and some may still be dealing with the effects of frostbite as a result!! The 2013 Christmas Party at Cattlemens was a huge success, and the restaurant stepped up to the challenge of serving a large group. Our new President and Vice President, along with others, have taken pity on us, and decided to move the meeting to one of the restaurant’s many ‘conference rooms’.
They can serve a group as large as ours, but you are not required to come for dinner. The meeting will start at 19:00, as usual, and if you wish to have dinner you can show up at 18:30. Cattlemens has also promised a selection for vegetarians. Guests are welcomed and encouraged!!
Membership dues are now due, and Treasurer Ken Schwartz will be ready to receive cash or check.
Cattlemens is also offering, as a special to EAA Chapter 1541, a Top Sirloin Steak Dinner for $9.99!!

“This Saturday we are planning on Willows, the plan is to meet at 11:30 on the ramp. From there we will decide if we want to eat at Nancy’s or walk to the other side of the freeway – there are several places to eat over there.”
