Chapter Member Milestones

In addition to Hannah Treehan’s solo, other chapter members also achieved great aviation milestones recently. In reference to this month’s President’s Corner, EAA 1541 Board member Ray McNaught sent the following pronouncement:

Acts of Aviation Have Been Committed

“It is my understanding that on December Fifth in the year of our lord Two Thousand Twenty Intentional acts of aviation were committed out of our home airport, Lincoln Regional Airport. Said acts resulted in the involvement of the Federal Aviation Administration. These intentional acts also resulted in the Federal Aviation Administration acting in their official capacity to issue pertinent paperwork!

Further, these intentionally committed acts of aviation were committed by one of our very own!
Please join me by raising your “virtual” glass in MAGA Congratulations To Darren Coomler, President EAA Chapter 1541, for successfully completing his Private Pilot Certification!
President Darren, Making Aviation Great Again!”

Captain John

After many years of faithful First Officer flying of 747’s and 787 Dreamliners on international routes, on December 4, 2020 chapter member John Tate received his Captain’s Wings at a United Airlines ceremony in Denver. In the spirit of the times, family and friends were invited to watch from a distance via Zoom.
