Dream Flights for WWII vets

DreamFlights is a non-profit organization founded in 2010 to honor veterans of World War II nationwide by giving them free flights in Boeing Stearman biplanes. On Saturday, August 7 DreamFlights came to Lincoln Regional Airport to honor four WWII vets from our area, with special invitations to their family and friends. The event was organized by Lincoln city treasurer Richard Pearl, who is a pilot; EAA chapter 1541 supported the event with tables, chairs, sunshades and a public address system.

First to fly was our own chapter member, David Morgan, M.D. who is 94 years old but showed everyone how flying keeps you young:

EAA chapter 1541 is proud to have members from the “Greatest Generation,” and delighted to honor them for their contributions and sacrifices for our country. Thank you for your Service!
