Project Corner – Brent’s Synchropter

Progress on the Mini-IMP has been slowed recently by family requirements but still closing in on the finish line.

Importantly, I have a possible new opportunity for someone. I was given a homebuilt ultralight synchropter project that is too complex for me:

I’d love to pass it along to someone else – or the whole Chapter if interested – who is willing to take it on. Best of all worlds would be a trade for someone’s more conventional homebuilt helicopter project if you have one, but I’m not holding my breath waiting for that one. 😉

Anyone interested in the synchropter can call me at 916.708.3372. BTW, it comes with a whole bunch of expensive materials, two French 2-stroke engines, main rotor blade molds, a fancy custom transmission, most instruments, a big box of documentation and more. Thanks!

[Editor’s note: a synchropter is a type of helicopter that uses a set of two intermeshing rotors turning in opposite directions, with each rotor mast mounted at a slight angle to the other.
