The Young Eagles program offers kids between the ages of 8 and 17 the opportunity to fly in a small airplane at no charge. The EAA’s Young Eagles page explains the goals of the program.
Young Eagle flights are now held in conjunction with face to face chapter events on the first and third Saturdays of the month, which are either pancake breakfasts from 8-10 a.m. or lunches from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Flights depend upon weather and the availability of pilots and aircraft, and require a permission form signed by parent or guardian. Please email us if you wish to schedule a Young Eagle flight at an upcoming Saturday event. Permission forms are available at the EAA hangar on the day of the flight.
Our own Bruce Estes was interviewed by the Roseville & Granite Bay Press Tribune about our Young Eagles program.
