From Dave Magaw

I finished my RV4 and am flying off the 40 testing hours. It had a few things to correct and now I have over 10 hours on it. But after finishing the RV, I started a Wag Aero Sport Trainer (a.k.a. a Cubby) project. Working on the fuselage and building the left wing. I installed landing gear from TK1 Racing–thanks Tony. The wing kit was from Wag Aero. While the ribs are made and some of the sheet metal is pre-formed, none of the parts are pre-drilled (as in other kits), and everything has to be measured, cut, drilled and fitted.

The wing is all aluminum, but the drawings that Wag Aero supplies are only for a wood wing, from which the aluminum one was adapted, but without drawings or instructions. There are a lot of similarities between the aluminum and wood wings, but there are a lot of differences too. It has been a challenging puzzle to put together.

Fortunately, there is a lot of information on line about building various cub wing kits (though not Wag Aero’s) which has been very instructive for me in building the Wag Aero wings.
