Pictures around the airport

Apparent visitor to our Lincoln airport in mid-November was this sweet looking Cessna 140A. It was too pretty not to photograph…a bit of internet research reveals that N1106D is owned by a gentleman from Ketchikan, Alaska. It was parked near Andy Bibber’s Adventure Flight hangar. Andy used to be based in Alaska….coincidence? We think not. (Scott Thompson)

On Saturday, November 10, Bruce Estes presented an informative program on aircraft painting. He knows about this because he is getting his trusty (ex) red & white Cardinal painted at Kracon, right here at the Lincoln Airport. Here is Bruce with his airplane as it nears completion just a few days later. Bruce had hoped to have the airplane on display for his Saturday presentation but, like most things airplane, it wasn’t quite on schedule. His program went through the whole process he followed from selecting the paint shop and paint scheme through to the incredible amount of detail work necessary for a picture perfect paint job.
