New hangars project groundbreaking ceremony August 6, 2025

A groundbreaking ceremony was held on August 6th at Lincoln Regional Airport to formally launch the new hangars project that will create 66 new hangars at the airport.  After the ceremony a second gathering was held at the gazebo to provide airport users with information about temporary effects the construction project will have on ramp areas, taxiways, and runway operations, and answer questions.
The grading, paving and infrastructure phase of the project is underway now, and the entire construction project is expected to continue into the Spring of 2026.  Because the project will have important effects on all airport users, EAA 1541 has created a Hangar Project Updates page on its website where we will post information about changes to airport operations that will affect both aircraft and surface vehicles. We have also added a New Hangars Project menu item to the home page, and will send out updates to this chapter members email list as needed.
We encourage all airport users to take some time to click on this link:
to familiarize yourself with the key points that airport users should know about the project and its current and future effects on operations.
Fly safe!
