Our online IMC/VMC club meeting for May will be held this coming Thursday May 2nd at 7pm PDT, and feature a special presentation by CFII Scott Thompson entitled “MDA to Runway: Danger Zone?“The Minimum Descent Altitude (MDA) is a critical component of a non-precision instrument approach, and is the altitude from which the pilot has to see the runway environment before descending any further. Problems can sometimes develop just at that point, and they will be explained in Scott’s presentation. Open discussion among attendees will follow, and all are invited to participate.
