Membership meeting on Wednesday 20th
One last reminder about this week’s meeting on Wednesday, May 20, in Tony’s Hangar at 19:00. This will be our last opportunity to address the Tri-Motor event, any questions or concerns. There will be a barbecue starting at 18:00.
The Tri-Motor manual is mandatory study for all volunteers, especially “Volunteer Duties.” This upcoming meeting will be a good time to ask any questions or voice any safety concerns. Obviously, the chapter is interested in making as much money as possible, but, as always, SAFETY is #1.
International Learn To Fly day on Saturday
Did you know that Saturday May 16th is International Learn To Fly Day? Take somebody flying!
Membership meeting, May 20th
Just a reminder about next week’s chapter meeting on May 20. At this time we continue to plan on having the meeting at Tony’s hangar, at 19:00 (dinner at 18:00). As this is the final meeting prior to the coming of the Tri-Motor, we hope to have a large turnout – especially from those who have, or intend to volunteer.

We got a write up in the Lincoln Beacon!
Help wanted…
We had a good turn out at Wednesday’s BOD/Tri-Motor meeting. As most of you know, we have been setting up tables at various local events and retailers to hand out flyers for advertising the coming of the Ford. Most of these events are well-covered with volunteers, but we could use some help with the following:
1) 5/23 Lincoln Home Depot, 9am-2pm. We have two volunteers and need one more
2) 5/28 Rocklin Food Night, 5-8pm. We have one volunteer and need one more
3) 5/31, 9am. Cleaning the Tri-motor hangar. We have 4 volunteers and could use a few more
4) 6/2, Downtown Lincoln. …we have 2 volunteers and need 2 more
5) 6/5, Rods and Relics Car Show, 3-8pm. We have 3 volunteers and need one more
These are fun events where, at the very least, you get to hand free event fliers to unsuspecting passers-by, or, at the most, you get to talk about your favorite things… planes and flying!
If you are interested, you can sign up here.
Also, please keep this in mind – Dick Rupe will be in charge of roping off the area each morning, and removing the ropes each evening… it’s a LARGE area! The job is simple enough and will take less than an hour, but he could sure use some more help.
Volunteers needed

We’re still needing a few good men (and women!) for Tri-motor marketing events – handing out flyers and talking to people about flying – you can see the list here.
Oroville Airport Day, May 16th
Chapter 1112 are hosting an Airport Day at Oroville Airport on May 16th. There’ll be aircraft, custom cars, motorcycles, RC demos, food, vendors and more. They’re also running a Young Eagles event between 08:00 and 12:00. Call (530) 370-6266 for more details.
BOD / Tri-Motor Meeting on Wednesday
Just a reminder that the upcoming meeting on Wednesday, May 6, will be held at Tony’s hangar. Pizza will be available, and the meeting should start close to 18:00.
It is very important to get as many of those who have volunteered for the Tri-Motor event to show up. Even though it is officially a board meeting, the topic will be the event in June. We only have one more scheduled meeting after this to make sure everything is ironed out.
If you haven’t volunteered yet, but intended to, Wednesday night will be a good time to!
