Pancake breakfast, September 19th

Norcal Flight Center are having their second monthly Pancake Breakfast on September 19th at Lincoln Airport.
They’re committed to building the community at the Lincoln Regional Airport and this will help build up the community on and off the airport. This is a fly-in event for pilots around the region, owners and tenants on the field and anyone in the community that wants to come out and look at some planes and enjoy the atmosphere of aviation.
They’re asking for a small $5 donation to support EAA chapter 1541 and our efforts to expand aviation and to educate children.

Golden West Fly-In at Marysville, October 17

The EAA Golden West Fly-In at KMYV is only 6 weeks away, and we’ve decided to take part again. And win. Again. We need to select a team to compete in this year’s Chapter vs. Chapter Competition. The 1st Place prize is $350 for the winning Chapter (us), and all competing pilots and their passengers will receive a free breakfast voucher for Saturday morning.

We need 3 entrants for judging, and can use these 3 aircraft or add 2 additional aircraft for the Flight Competition. Bonus points will be added for the oldest competing Homebuilt, as well as the oldest and youngest competing pilots. We should aim to arrive by 08:30 (no later than 09:30) and should be finished by 12:00.

Golden West is a Saturday only Fly-In, and EAA Chapters are the primary focus this year. There is no charge to attend, although if you drive in, there will be a small parking fee. For those who fly in, Honeycutt Aviation will be offering a 30 cent/gal discount off rack fuel prices.

There’s also a vacancy for a judge for some of the events.
