IMC Club meeting Wednesday evening location change

The August meeting of the EAA Chapter 1541 IMC Club will be held tomorrow (Wednesday, August 14) from 19:00 to 20:00 at KLHM. Because of the forecast for triple digit temperatures, we will be relocating the meeting to the air conditioned Pilot Lounge in the airport administration building.

If you drive, come to Gate 2 rather than Gate 4. There is parking directly across the street from Gate 2. If you fly in, park in one of the transient spaces on the main ramp, near the fuel pumps, and walk to the Pilot Lounge.

We look forward to another lively and informative discussion based on actual flights that encountered unexpected challenges: What Would You Do?

Pancakes and a movie, August 3rd

Come out to the EAA hangar at the Lincoln Airport on Saturday morning (August 3) for a pancake breakfast and an aviation movie and some good hangar flying. This month’s feature film is the 1991 Disney movie The Rocketeer… suitable for kids of all ages. All are welcome for our (suggested) $5.00 breakfast that will be served from 08:00 until 09:30. That’s right, last pancakes on the griddle at 09:30 so come early and often for a fun, relaxing morning.

Saturday, September 14: EAA Chapter 1541 Airport Fun Day.

We held our first Airport Fun Day back in April and it was unexpectedly popular with the local community. Time for another one, then! We’ll have some static aircraft displays, some booths from local aviation schools and organizations, activities for kids from three to thirty, and more stuff too. Better yet, a free hot dog lunch for all attendees. Spread the word. Our Airport Fun Day will be held from 11:00 to 14:00. More information coming in August; we will need a high level of chapter volunteer participation for a successful event. Please plan to set aside a few hours on that date. Don’t say you have not been warned…
