It’s the Lincoln Powered Parachute Field fly-in this weekend, and we’ll be cooking breakfast and watching the movie “Sully” on Saturday from 08:00 at hangar S12.

A varied and colorful assortment of powered parachutes will fill the air at the Lincoln Powered Parachute Field (LPPF) November 10, 11 and 12.

These amazing fly-ins have continually grown in size and number of flight operations. Come and watch their colorful soft wings fill the LPPF operations area, where all types of PPC aircraft from foot launched to tandem rigs will fill the skies.

To honor all who served, the Aerospace Museum of California are offering free admission to ALL guests on Veterans Day (Saturday, November 11, 2017
10:00 to 16:00)! Enjoy special activities that include a crowd-favorite Open Cockpit Day, a chance to meet members of the Tuskegee Airmen local chapter, and experience the new interactive TAKE FLIGHT exhibit inside the museum.

EAA 1476 at KRIU are looking for some pilots to fly Young Eagles on Sunday (5th) – 08:00 – 12:00ish. They have ~40 kids lined up, and a scout group who are also hoping to come along. Anybody who can help should contact Kimberley (916-607-4023).

The November Board of Directors meeting takes place on Wednesday 1st. It will be at the House of Pizza, 2270 Nicolaus Rd., Lincoln… dinner at 18:00, meeting at 18:30. All members are invited.

The Tracy Airport (KTCY) monthly Display Day has been moved to Sunday October 22, 2017 from (09:00 to 15:00).

After the business is over, we’ll have a presentation by resident historian Marty Maisel who will present an overview of 42 years of Aeronautical engineering from propeller design to the development of the Osprey prototype and more.
