July IMC/VMC club meeting at 7pm PDT on Thursday, July 2nd

Our monthly pilot education meeting for July will have two “What Would You Do?” scenarios.

The IMC scenario is a night IFR flight in instrument conditions and subfreezing temperatures that has to divert due to falling oil pressure and ATC instructs the pilot to descend earlier than desired for an instrument approach.

The VMC scenario is a first flight after an annual inspection of a high performance single with retractable gear.  The gear retracts normally on takeoff but when gear extension is attempted, the gear down lights do not illuminate although the gear appears to be down visually.
