Looking for Wings Over Watsonville Young Eagles Pilots

EAA 119 is looking for more Young Eagles pilots for Watsonville’s fly-in this year. No airshow, no airport closure, lets rally!

At the Wings Over Watsonville fly-in on September 5th there will be a Young Eagles rally and it is expected to be a large one. There is no airshow so the fly-in will not have waivered/closed airspace – the Young Eagles rally can take place concurrently with the fly in. There will be a temporary tower in effect to control the flow of aircraft. Without airspace closure to race against, this should be easy to work with. Attendance to the fly-in is free for everyone and Young Eagle pilots will get discount on top of already discounted avgas for the fly-in. You haven’t bought gas this cheap in many many years!

Tom Hail (EAA119 Young Eagles coordinator) needs to have an idea who will fly at this rally and how many seats will be available. They have created a simple Google form to fill out and it will give the information needed – they will put you on an email list where they can send future Watsonville Young Eagles information. If you don’t want to remain on the list after Sept 5th, removal will be easy.

Please consider flying kids at this fly-in and in future Watsonville rallies. It is hugely fun and rewarding to see these kids experience flight from or near the pilot’s seat.
