A huge congratulations goes to the airport operators for getting the antiquated 100LL Self Serve fuel pump operational in near record time! Thanks to their efforts, the fuel discount for Display Day weekend will be offered. Look for $4.79/gallon self-serve 100LL from Friday evening through Monday morning.

Notes…
As this year’s end is approaching fast, there are a few items of business to keep in mind:
- Dues are due. Single is $20, Family is $25. You can bring cash or check to the next general meeting, or mail a check (EAA Chapter 1541, PO Box 906, Lincoln, CA 95648), or make payment by a credit card or PayPal.
- Our next meeting will be November 19, at Tony’s Hangar, E-5, 19:00. There will be dinner at 18:00. If the nice weather continues, we’ll squeeze in one last BBQ, if not, you just never know what we might have. Topics will be the website and the upcoming Christmas Holiday Dinner Party Meeting.
- Speaking of the Holiday Dinner Party…You can contact Larry Bontrager (916) 209-8386, landguy@hotmail.com, for info or reservations. $32 per person.
- Speaking of annuals, the Pietenpol is down for its annual, but that’s not important right now. But what is important is that our President (Richard, not that other guy), has a very exciting, surprise announcement to make at the membership meeting.
Self-serve 100LL not available at the Lincoln Regional Airport
It looks like the 100LL self-serve pump at KLHM went down. The pump that runs the self-serve fuel station and allows the top filling of the AVGAS truck is broken. There’s about 300 gallons in the truck to work with while the service tech troubleshoots the problem. They’re working on an alternative solution to fill the AVGAS truck so they can fuel aircraft during business hours. Rich and Tony are working on a possible schedule to be out this weekend for a few hours if needed. They apologise for the inconvenience.
Remember to register for the holiday dinner party!

Membership meeting tonight
Just a late reminder about tonight’s meeting (Wednesday). No BBQ, but the CalStar Helicopter is scheduled to fly in at 18:00 and give us a short presentation. Pie and coffee after that, then…
An extensive conversation about this weekend’s BIG DEAL!
Membership meeting October 15th
Next Wednesday, October 15, is the date for our October meeting. The meeting will take place in Tony’s hangar, E-5 (faces the runway)…
There will be no dinner BBQ because Cal Star is going to fly in their helicopter, along with some nurses, at 18:00. Their presentation will only be about 20 minutes, as they need to depart for other business. Taxiway G (next to Tony’s hangar) will be closed and used as a landing zone.
After Cal Star leaves, we will break for pie & coffee, then on to BIG business. Most of the meeting will be about our upcoming LRAA/EAA Lincoln Regional Airport Open House Day on the following Saturday, October 18.
Saturday, October 18, 8am to noon, will be the Open House. Much has been done to promote this locally, and estimates of over 3,000 visitors have been mentioned. We will be conducting Young Eagle flights in the morning. EAA Chapter 1541 is now 93 strong, with more joining up! It would be great to see as many airplanes as possible on the ramp, along with a bunch of volunteers. All will be discussed on Wednesday.
Dues are due in November, but can be accepted anytime now.
Our Christmas Party is scheduled for Wednesday, December 17. This will also be on the agenda for next week’s meeting, but now would be a good time to purchase tickets – $32 Per Person.
