An extensive conversation about this weekend’s BIG DEAL!
We’ve added the meeting minutes for September:
Next Wednesday, October 15, is the date for our October meeting. The meeting will take place in Tony’s hangar, E-5 (faces the runway)…
There will be no dinner BBQ because Cal Star is going to fly in their helicopter, along with some nurses, at 18:00. Their presentation will only be about 20 minutes, as they need to depart for other business. Taxiway G (next to Tony’s hangar) will be closed and used as a landing zone.
After Cal Star leaves, we will break for pie & coffee, then on to BIG business. Most of the meeting will be about our upcoming LRAA/EAA Lincoln Regional Airport Open House Day on the following Saturday, October 18.
Saturday, October 18, 8am to noon, will be the Open House. Much has been done to promote this locally, and estimates of over 3,000 visitors have been mentioned. We will be conducting Young Eagle flights in the morning. EAA Chapter 1541 is now 93 strong, with more joining up! It would be great to see as many airplanes as possible on the ramp, along with a bunch of volunteers. All will be discussed on Wednesday.
Dues are due in November, but can be accepted anytime now.
Our Christmas Party is scheduled for Wednesday, December 17. This will also be on the agenda for next week’s meeting, but now would be a good time to purchase tickets – $32 Per Person.
